Gary F. Warner Obituary

August, 5 1944. - June 22, 2025

Gary F Warner 81 of Paoli, Oklahoma passed away on June 22, 2025 from natural causes, "on his own terms", In the little house he called home. He was surrounded by so many photographs, on every wall, one could only imagine. Only the folks he loved, both family and friends, past and present, earned a spot on those walls. He was predeceased by his parents Claire and Francis (Dutch)Warner; (favorite) sister and brother-in law Barbara and Bill Jamison; sister and brother-in-law June and Charles Murdock; brother, David Rice.

Gary is survived by his five amazing Children, six wonderful grandchildren, eight precious great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews whom dubbed him as "Uncle Bunk". Daughter;Barbara Warner aka( "Bill"); daughter and son-in-law Karin and Jeremy Stout aka (" Mrs.Beasly" and "Bat Ears"); son, Erik Warner; son,Thomas Warner; daughter, Julia Warner; granddaughter, Brooke and Cody DeGroat; grandson,Triston Bowen; granddaughter, Cora and Tucker Snow; granddaughter, Miranda Weinclawski; grandson, Jack Salamida; and the youngest granddaughter, Ivee Rose Warner.

Gary's great grandchildren Clara, Kadence, Bentley, Greyson, Paisley, Brecken, August and Clayton are most definitely Going to miss their " Grampa Gary's" silly inner child..

Gary's life was anything but boring and he led a very active lifestyle for the majority of his rein here on earth. He graduated from Chenango Forks High School in Chenango Forks, NY. Gary was an avid outdoorsman. He competed in many Canoe regatta's with his very best childhood friend Jim Root, ( oh the stories). He hunted, fished and traveled all across the US with his oldest children Barb, Karin and Erik because he loved adventure.

Gary also had an infinite love for the horse. He was an accomplished horseman, first competing in Gymkhana and helping establish Maine Mavericks Horse Club, in Maine NY. . He then became a member of the Unadilla Polo Club in Unadilla, NY where he met his lifelong dear friend Doug Smith. There isn't anything those two wouldn't do for each other. " The Sport of Kings" Polo became a passion of his. Gary was a member of the USPA for many years. He trained many of his own polo ponies, some of which went on to play " high goal" polo for some of the best polo players in the world. He was a Proud member of the NRA and collected various firearms throughout the years. Some of which he used, enjoying target practice with his youngest son Thomas. Believe it or not, he also loved birds and he used to build bird houses with Youngest daughter Julia.

Gary, alongside His best friend and father Francis owned and operated Tri-Cities Barrel Company from 1955-1992 It was a family operated business , one they built from the ground up. He worked long hard hours and his hands told that story. He also spent many years up until retirement, driving OTR as an independent contractor.

Dad, your stories were vast and vibrant, yet all true.."We will see ya when we see ya".

In honor of Gary's Legacy, we invite any family or friends to join us to tailgate on the sidelines of the Skaneateles Polo Club on August 31,2025 @ 1:00 pm. ( The polo match starts at 3:00pm). Pack your coolers, snacks and chairs and help us pay tribute to our father.

Played little league and football at CF. Worked at Tri Cities Barrel. Double dated. Swam in the creek.
He visited here in Blytheville Arkansas several times.
Remember Thomas as a toddler getting soaked in my flóoded backyard.
Gary banged on our bedroom door and said" there's a duck in the fireplace".
Many great memories over a long lifetime.
