I just heard Love is Alive and Dream Weaver on a classic oldies station. It brought back so many memories from when I was a kid in the 70's. Thank you for your music which was meant so much because I associate it with so many memories.
To his family and friends I offer condolences for your loss.

To Gary's Family & Friends. I always enjoyed his music through the years. There are certain performers who have such a unique style and sound that you know right away who it is -he was one of those very special artists! He also could transport you to another place -which is one of Music's Magical ability when done very well. A number of years ago I had the chance to attend his concert at a Casino in CT. To my great joy I also got a chance to meet him and talk about his music. Unlike some famous performers I've heard about he was very nice and interested in what his fans thought. "A Real Class Act". Gary thanks for all the wonderful memories over the years and I'm sure you're part of huge band up there.

Watching and listening to Spooky Tooth with Gary on vocals and keyboard in the late 60s around London was an almost spiritual and very memorable experience .
A particular favourite track from his solo albums is `I´ve Got a Story´ from the Extraction album. A sad loss to the quality music industry.

We are so sorry to hear of Gary's passing. We grew up listening to his music which was great. We saw two great singers leave us this past Gary and Jimmy Buffet. We will miss them very much. The Wright family are in our prayers. RIP Gary we love you and miss you.

To Gary´s family, I offer my deepest and most sincere condolences. Gary was so unique and such a spiritually advanced soul. I have a cherished memory of having struck up a conversation standing in the lagoon of the Hilton Hawaiian Village resort one lovely summer´s day in 1966. At that time we were 22-ish and Gary had not yet embarked on his amazing career. He was in fact living in Cresskill, NJ and working in the travel industry. At the time, I was working as a singer on the Red Skelton Show and it was Gary´s sister, Beverly, who sang. She did a guest spot on the show so when I told him I was working there, he mentioned "Do you remember my sister Beverly?" Of course I did but he didn´t say anything about his own musical endeavors at the time. All this is to say we had a lovely chat about life, the universe and everything that led to dinner. It was the only time I ever spent with him and years later, here comes Dream Weaver on the the radio while I was driving. Just blew me away... I had no idea. I was so happy for him and was very proud of his accomplishments. That one day we spent together so many years ago is such a cherished memory. Gary was a very special soul. My heart and my prayers to all his loved ones. Peace be yours.
