I so loved coming to visit with Mary and Gavin (Gadget) and just loved all of his wonderful projects! He had so many great ideas. I am sorry my posting is so late, but wanted to post my condolences to Mary and family. What a wonderful colorful man he was and I know he is greatly missed by his family and friends.

Mary Kay, you have my deepest sympathy. Though I've not seen seen you in quite a while, I know you and Gavin were as close as two people can be. I have fond memories of back in the old days. I'd love to hear from you. I know that when my brother lost his wife, he had a pretty tough time for a good while, so be good, kind and gentle to yourself. Gavin's already in a better place.

Gavin was a rare soul, we were fortunate to be neighbors for so many years. It's impossible to quantify how much of a positive impact he had on our little family. Whenever I pulled an all-nighter through college and grad school, I never felt alone because he'd be tinkering in his shop right along with me.
He was a calm and steady presence for Jake, always available, patient and ready to offer detailed explanations and examples for any number of questions, no matter how silly they might have been. Gavin for sure was the reason why Jake was able to rebuild an engine almost single handedly as a teen.
Gavin brought a gentle energy, sharp intelligence, unbounded curiosity and creativity to everything he did, and though the world is a little dimmer with his passing, his influence and memory will live on through those who were graced enough to know him.
Deepest love and condolences to Mary, Gawain, and the entire constellation of family and friends that sparkled in the universe of Gavin's life.

Gavin was a one-of-a-kind individual. Kind as could be, interesting and interested, and always with an open soul and heart. He has left an imprint on my own heart and will forever be remembered. Now on to the motorcycle ride in the heavens... Love you Gavin!

I met your Dad in full kilt at your wedding and was so impressed. May he be riding high on his motorcycle with the angels.
