Martha,
I was saddened to hear of Gavin's passing. Our paths crossed here on the east coast a number of years back, but the times I will remember best are our high school years, particularly Grade 13. Our thoughts are with you and his family

My name is Ian Boyd and I live in Ottawa. I wasn't able to get to Gavin's memorial service as I was out of town. I never met Gavin but I am a cousin of his father Bill McCallum. Both Bill and I were very interested in family history and we both collected a great deal of material over the years. If any of Gavin's family or relatives are interested in family history on Bill's side they can contact me at 613-829-8789.

I just found out this morning about the passing of LCdr McCallum. I am really sad to hear he lost his battle to cancer. His courage and determination to get better will always be an example to all of us. He was a genuine man, always so friendly. Most sincere condolences to his family.

I went to Port Perry High School with Gavin and he was a really great guy. He touched everyone he met.
