Gavin Alan Charles McClain

I was not fortunate enough to ever meet Gavin, but I have become friends with his father Ryan over the past few years, and if Gavin was anything like his father, I wish I could have met him. To Gavin, I know you are missed by many, and to Ryan, he will always be with you. Just wanted you to know I was thinking about the both of you !!!

My sincerest heartfelt condolences to Gavin's family and to all who knew and loved him. I happened upon Gavin's obituary through a friend on Facebook who lost her daughter to Osteosarcoma a few years back. Sadness overcomes me at the thought of young lives with such promise for the future being lost to these deadly diseases. The tribute here to Gavin was beautifully scribed. It gave me a glimpse into the life of a young man gone far too soon. May all of you find peace, hope and comfort in the memories of your departed loved one.

I didn't know your son but I was touched by your loving tribute to him and felt compelled to tell you that you conveyed his personality even to a complete stranger. He sounds like a gentle soul who was a blessing to all who knew him. May your memories of him bring you comfort.

What is grief ? LOVE !
It is love you want to give Gavin, but cannot. The unspent love gathers up in the corners of your eyes, the lump in your throat, and in that depth of your chest. Grief is just love with no place to go, but we are all here to share that love with you...
