Aunt Kathy, Patrick, Amy, Susie, Meghan, Andrew:
I truly regret the fact that I am unable to come east to attend the funeral. But, I want all of you to know that I have the most fondest memories of Uncle Gay. I can still see all of us sitting around at Grandma's apartment telling stories or in Schenectady for Meghan's Christening. He was a phenomenal story teller - especially of his time at Penn State!!! My strongest memories though, are all of him laughing and enjoying life. He was such a jovial man. My only regret is that because of the distance between us, my husband Matt, and son Ben, never had the opportunity to know him personally. However, he lives on in our family through the memories I have shared with them. I love you guys and know my thoughts are with you. My prayer is that God will give you the peace that Uncle Gay now knows.
Love, Pam

Sue, I missed your smiling face around the office this week and wondered where you were. I am saddened to hear about your Dad. You are in my prayers. I hope that you find comfort in the fond memories you have of him and in the wonderful things people are saying about him. I found that to be very comforting when my mom passed away. Peace.

When I was a kid, Mr Smith was my neighbor and the dad of my best friend. Growing up, I have thought about him often and now that I am a parent, I am so grateful that I had him and his family in my life as a young person. He loved his family, friends, work and life. He always had a smile on his face. He was a wonderful person.

I saw the obituary in the Plattsburgh paper and said to myself that Gaylord must be the brother between Wilson and "Moose" and, therefore, cannot be 77. In any case, my condolences to all on the passing of the person I remember as a terrific young man. Small world isn't it? Warner was raised in Honesdale and finds this connection in the Press-Republican. Missed you at the 55th, Debbie and Wilson. We are in Ft. Myers 7 months a year. Maybe we can get the DZ ladies together some day. Again, sincere condelences from Jane and Warner.
