Published by Legacy Remembers on Sep. 12, 2017.
Gene Gass was born on January 3, 1929 and passed away on September 6, 2017. He was born to D.L. and Louise (Foster) Gass in Hammon, OK.

In September of 1956, Gene married Ardena Hume and they spent over 50 wonderful years making a life, a family, and many memories together. Gene was a patient and organized man which helped him in his job as branch manager at American Optical for Bartlesville and Tulsa and assistant branch manager for OKC. Gene and Ardena loved to go western dancing at Cain's ballroom. He also enjoyed keeping his house and yard in immaculate shape, doing the yardwork himself until he was no longer able.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Ardena Gass; parents, D.L. and Louise Gass; step daughters, Ellen Nossaman and Joan Kerr; and sisters, Betty Brant and Anna Rapp.

Gene is survived by three step sons and their wives, Harley and Janice Hume of Peoria, AZ, Larrie and Susan Hume of Peoria, AZ, and Jerome and Elizabeth Hume of Catoosa, OK; step son-in-law, Marion Nossaman of Wichita, KS; step grandchildren, Deborah, Barbara, Lisa, Cynthia, Marian, Pamela, David, Kristine, and Terresa ; and step great-grandchildren Ashley, Erin, Jessica, Cody, Macy, Austin, Teagan, Phillip, Eric, Amanda, Cody, Kaytlinn, Camden, Kaden, Ethan, Edie, Kaden, Alicia, and Nathaniel.
