George Bombel

Gene was a remarkable man who in his later years, through his writings, shared with us, the depth of his humanity, his heart and his soul. He was a selfless man who shared his friendship, its kindness, and his homespun philosophies with all who are willing to listen. I listened, and I grew because of it. I had the owner of dedicating one of his books and that experience changed me forever. I will hold him deep in the recesses of my mind and heart and will remember him with gratitude, respect, and love. Rest in peace, my friend. George Bombel, his retiredarmy friend.

First met Gene on the football filed of Wenatchee High School. Two years younger than he, I learned how he played football with with determination and skill and was respected to a high degree by all teammates.
As adults I was rewarded to learn his depth of wisdom and analyses of living life and enjoyed his writing skills in his published books. So sorry for his demise.
