Grandpa Gene was truly a remarkable man, a beacon of strong principles in a world that often seems to be losing its way! His unwavering faith and deep devotion to God inspired everyone around him, and I feel incredibly blessed to have been part of his family. The love and wisdom he shared were treasures that enriched our lives, and I can´t help but wish my kids had more time to know their great-grandfather. He had a unique way of connecting with people; I know they would have adored him just as much as we all do. Grandpa Gene, you are forever in our hearts, and your legacy of love and integrity will continue to guide us!

I first met Gene at EDS. He led a Friday lunchtime Bible study that I attended. Over time, I became friends with Ann too! Was so grateful to have known Gene. My daughter still has the beautiful handmade picture that Gene gave her -- a gift from China!! He was a blessing!!

Legend. Thank you for informing us of our loss but heaven's gain. I had the opportunity to know Gene, and while I would be on multiple deployments, I always enjoyed his emails of correspondence with his funny puns, parables and prayer requests. I continue to pray for you all as you grieve during this time.

Our sincere sympathy Ann to you and your family in the home going of Gene. We shared many wonderful memories together at EDS. Gene was my manager at one point and he really helped me a lot; in fact you both have over the years.

It was a miracle from God when Gene accepted Jesus as his Savior and Lord. I was so excited to hear about his decision and have shared his story with many people. As Christians, we do not sorrow as those with no hope, but know that we will be together in heaven. Praying for you Ann that God will abundantly give you His grace, peace, and comfort in the days ahead! John & Kathy Scriven

I first met Gene at Metro Church, he was a sweet and funny guy and a faithful and devoted man of God!! A good friend to our family we loved him very much!! My personal favorite memory with him was from a get together at Church where we brought food, I made sandwiches and some of them were Peanut butter and Grape Jelly! He was so excited about them and asked me who brought them and I said I did, he gave me the biggest hug and said I had made his day because that was his favorite sandwich and no one ever brought them!!!

We met Gene in a Sunday School class at Metro Garland church.
When we bought our first house in Allen Gene helped my husband put in new floor tile and make repairs. Gene was a special friend. Ruthie

I remember eating the huge pancakes (dinner plate size) for breakfast, going to Sunday school & enjoying Vanilla Bean ice cream. As a younger child, I stayed a lot at my Grandpa´s house & will always cherish those memories. As I got older, he knew my love of collecting & would bring me treasures from his time as a traveling minister. He made such an impact on everyone that had the opportunity to meet him.
