Gene Winfield

Sydney Brown, my sister, & I met Windy, our neighbor, when he first started on cars, in his mom's chicken coop..I was 12 at that time, now 87, so we've been friends for many years..water skied together, and many great times together with his wife at that time, Deloris..We regret not knowing of his memorial service, but were not told of it. Windy was a great guy and friend, and we'll miss him..We give our thanks to everyone that put his memorial together..I just wish we hadn't missed it. Carla Lee

RIP Gene Winfield and Watson are back together again !!!

I actually sit in this one last month. He was a master and great car designer. Prayers for his family and friends.

Gene ,thank you for all the inspiration to make me a better creator of what can be envisioned, your contribution to the autobiography of cars is truly inspirational, your legacy will never die, your life has changed the automotive game.God needed another car builder, Say hi to Boyde Cotington, , if you see Indian Larry tell him the chain frame was a bad idea,

My oldest late brother Joel Zuñiga got his first auto body repair job after Korean War service with Gene . Joel was learning across the street n Gene hired him at MJC . Zuñiga has always thought of Gene as a gracious person. En Paz Descanse Amigo .

i worked for gene on and off in the early 80,s i learned his smooth blending techniques and heard lots of good stories, RIP GENE

Mr.Winfield created some amazing work on cars for years. The work he did was unlike anything that had been done. His work was well known and seen in movies and on TV. He truly was in a class by himself. Prayers for the Winfield family, so very sorry for your loss.

I never knew Gene. But as a fan his life works are a testament to the man himself. He will be missed in so many ways. Fly high my friend. God bless you and your family
