Geneva, we were lifelong friends. I will miss out regular talks. I arranged for 10 trees to be planted in your honor. You will be missed. May you forever rest in Peace. Emmett Walker and family.

One of the most intelligent individuals I've ever had the pleasure of knowing, Mrs. Short possessed a mesmerizing charm about her only rivaled by her warm loving smile. When she resided in Florida, I would periodically receive local newspaper clippings about "Jackie Robinson" and a little attached note asking about my three daughters as she was aware of my love for baseball and its history.
In all of her work, accomplishments, and worldly contributions, Mrs. Short was most proud of and cherished deeply her children, Thomas, Laverne, and Constance. Icing on the proverbial cake were Grandchildren Cristian, Noemi, and Julia.
She was an Angel here on earth and has now assumed her proper position as an Angel in Heaven.
