Genevieve Bunsow

On Sept. 23, 2004, Genevieve Charlene Bunsow, passed away from this world into the hands of our Lord following a brief illness. Her daughter, Nancy Niles; her son, Henry Bunsow; grandchildren, Hillary and Maggie Bunsow; her sister, Lois Robinson; nephew, Robert Fisher; and niece, Kathy Smith, survive her. Genevieve was born in Mt. Carmel, Ill. and followed her sister to Las Vegas in 1946. She met Henry John Bunsow shortly thereafter at a New Year's Eve party at the Flamingo Hotel. They were married and enjoyed over 45 years of marriage. Henry passed from this life in 1991. Professionally, Genevieve was the executive secretary for the president of the Title Insurance and Trust Company for many years. She left the position to become an executive secretary for Hughes Aviation in the mid-1970's. Socially, Henry and Genevieve were very active in the Knights of Columbus Chapter 2828 for over 30 years. Genevieve will be interred near her husband in the mausoleum at Palm Mortuary located at 1325 N. Main St. The viewing will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1, followed by the funeral at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 2.
