We were so saddened and shocked to hear of the unexpected passing of Paul. We knew Paul and Heather back in their days in Fisher Heights, and Gerry and our son Samuel played together. Many happy times as we muddled our way through the days with toddlers/preschoolers. Paul was always jovial and full of fun stories, and so involved in the lives of his boys.
We are praying for you that you can feel God's comfort during this time of incredible loss.

I remember Paul when we both volunteered for the Fisher Heights Community Association. He was ever positive and outgoing and always had the community's best interest at heart.
Recently this past hockey season we met up again at the rink and he was still the same ol' Paul, just as positive and dedicated as ever and extremely proud of his two boys!
A family and a community has lost this great man. Our thought and prayers are with the Churchill family.

Heather, Sean and Gerry:

We are deeply saddened by the loss of such a wonderful man. We have shared many days in a cold rink, many days on a hot soccer field, many school events at both Mary Honeywell and Cedarview with the Churchill family and all these memories are a tribute to Paul's unending participation and devotion to every aspect of Sean and Gerry's lives. We are sending you love during this difficult time. Our thoughts are with the entire Churchill family.

Paul was a good man. A generous man, with a kind heart and soul. A wonderful baker, he would always include the hockey teams parents with a warm welcome. Our thoughts and prayers are with the Churchill family....Love The Parkers

Passionate,enthusiastic,eager,dependable,spirited,
determined,good-humoured,loving and devoted to everything he believed in.These are words I would choose to describe Paul. When the Churchill family lived in the Fisher Heights community, we had such a good time together, working on and for our 'community', and I especially remember celebrating the births of Gerry and Sean. I am deeply saddened by the news of Paul's passing and my deepest sympathies to your family.

our deepest sympathy to you Gerry and Sean. We have fond and happy memories of your Dad he always made things fun for his boys growing up and yours was always the best place to be amongst the other kids. His love of music and language, and his happy and loving disposition were commendable. Remember the good times boys, he will watch over you and be proud. The Morton Family, Barrhaven.

We are so sorry for your loss. Your father will be missed around the rink. There is nothing like seeing someone in shorts in December! It was our pleasure to have gotten to know him this past hockey season. He loved you very much and his spirit will be at every one of your games.

I also had the pleasure to sing with Paul in Stairwell Carollers. I will miss his incredibly wry humour as well as his superb voice. Paul, you are a shining candle in the darkness, and I am a better person for having known you.

I too sang with Paul. He had an angelic voice -- one that we'll all miss. He always brought a bright, positive outlook on life to the Stairwell Carollers. The Carollers are honoured to sing at his memorial, where we can raise our voices in a celebration of his life.

Singing with Paul these past few years has been a real joy and getting to know him was a pleasure. The main things I will remember about Paul are the great love he had for his kids and his ability to find joy and laughter in all things.

My sincere condolences to Paul's family for your great loss. I sang beside Paul in the tenor section of our choir and grew to love his unique sense of humour. We recently recorded a CD of sacred music together and I was able to get through the sometimes gruelling recording sessions in large part thanks to the unbelievably positive attitude to life that Paul always brought to the table. I learned much from him in the short space of time that I was graced to know him. He will be deeply missed.

Paul was my predecessor as music librarian at the Canadian Centennial Choir, and I well remember all his kind assistance when I first started the job. I am shocked and saddened by his too-early death, and send my sincere sympathy to his family.
