His bright light extinguished
Today, in memory of Geoffrey

I read of your sons passing in the Janesville Gazette newspaper on Sun. 1/19/14 and just wanted to express my sympathy.I am so very sorry for your loss.

So very sad to hear that the world has lost a bright and shining star like Geoff...I only spoke with him a few times but knew he was a special person..welcoming and kind. A mother myself, my heart goes out to his family.

Upon hearing the news today about Dr. Geoff I am overwhelmed with such disbelief that I can't begin to understand. In the short amount of time I have known him I felt that he was one of the most genuine and caring souls I had ever met. He always took whatever time was needed and never rushed a visit. He will be greatly missed by all that were fortunate enough to know him and my heartfelt condolences go out to his family and friends.

It was by chance I met Geoff and spent a fun week with him and the team at Globalfest. Quick with a smile and a laugh, he made a significant impression. He was so excited to get his practice started that fall.

It was devastating to hear of Geoff's passing. I have never known a person who enjoyed life more than him. He was driven, dedicated, confident, and he made everyone around him better. He worked hard to succeed and never missed an opportunity to help others succeed as well. Geoff was the most dependable person I knew. It didn't matter if he hadn't seen you in 5 minutes or 5 years, if you asked him for help he would always be there. He was a good man, and he made me a better person. We met Dr.Geoff just after the middle of December when he started treating me for injuries suffered in an vehicle accident. He worked extremely hard to get me mobile again and he did a wonderful job. In fact he was the most effective Chiropractor I have ever had....and he was young enough to be my grandson. A few weeks after I first went to his clinic, my wife Irma began taking treatments from him as well. The results were amazing and life changing for her. He impressed us both so much, not only as a physician but also as a friend because that is who he became to both of us and dare I say, everyone who started out as a client of his. I am so glad I told him how I felt about his work. He was so kind and caring and he will be sorely missed! Even though we knew him for just a little more than 5 months, he made an indelible impression in our lives. We will not forget him. We have lost a dear friend. His leaving us especially under such terrible circumstances is so wrong. Even so, Go in peace dear Geoffrey.

As for the family, we are each praying for all of you, especially Gigi. We pray that God will give you comfort in this time of sorrow. Our hearts ache with you and words can not adequately describe how we feel. We are, however, also filled with the hope that one day we will all see Geoffrey again...in that day in which there is no more night, no more tears and no more sorrow. May Gods' love and peace be with you all.

Dr Geoff was a truly great doctor who had an unwavering passion to help people. As patients of his clinic, we were blessed to have someone so compassionate, helpful and personable as Dr Geoff on our road to recovery. His natural charm and confidence were inspiring. It was great to reconnect with Geoff and hear the stories of his academic journey and the professional and relational successes he experienced over the recent years of his learning trek. It was with profound sadness and disbelief that I learned of Geoff's untimely passing. Although I only got to know Geoff as my chiropractor, I truly enjoyed and looked forward to our interactions. Always a warm smile and kind words of encouragement. It was very obvious that the passion he brought to his chosen profession, he also extended to his interpersonal relationships, as evidenced by the many words written here by those who knew him best. I knew Geo from Logan, as he was one of the first other Canadians I met after moving down there. He was a few classes ahead of me and was always willing to help me out with whatever I needed, especially with preparing for Canadian board exams. We also ended up playing quite a bit of hockey together. I am so sorry for your loss.

We would spend late nights talking on the phone and he would ask me about moving away from home and he would share his dreams and aspirations of going to university in the US.
