George and I worked together while we were stationed at Phan Rang Air Base RVN in 1967-68. One of the nicest guy to be around and to work with. It saddens me to have missed contacting him over the years and to find out he had passed. A young man named Jaden ( it is spelled wrong but it sounds just like I spelled it} who works for Verizon was helping me with my phone and in conversation said he was from Allentown Penn I spoke up and said I knew a guy from there and his name was George Atiyeh and he said I know him and there is a Jr. also. I probably have some pictures of him from that time so long ago-my deepest condolences to his entire family .

Growing up with three sisters I always wanted an older brother. April 19, 1980 I got my wish, I married George's younger brother Jack with George as his best man - and that he proved to be "a best man" in every aspect of his life. George was loving, kind, generous and depending on the situation at hand tender or giving you his best dry humor. One time when he gave me a ride on his motorcycle I looked over his shoulder and saw 90 miles an hour. When we got back to his home I told him - he stated in a serious tone with the corners of his mouth slightly turned up - "You must have caught me when I down shifted." Thank you for for being a part of not just my life but hundreds of others - and for serving the United States in Vietnam. With all my love and tears, Dawn

George and I were Classmates at Harrison-Morton and Dieruff High. I really liked George. He was a friend - a kind, good-natured and good-looking man. I hope, no, I know that all his pain is gone and he is in the company of the Almighty. R.I.P. George, your buddy, Roger.

As one of his oldest customers, I have known and done business with George for 30 years. In my opinion he was the finest and most honest man I have ever met in this business. They say there is no man that is indispensable ... George comes awful close. A good friend and a great man. "Go Rest High on that Mountain". He will be greatly missed.

The summer picnics and get-togethers (which would last until nearly midnight) will always be some of my best memories. 'Happy' can't even describe it. It was blissful.

He couldn't have picked a more perfect match than Sahar. It was a privilege to watch the real-life romantic comedy that these two shared.

His smile and laugh will be missed forever.

Love to Sahar, Kimberly & George.
