I met George in the Hospital after I had an LVAD transplant. He was a fun-loving guy with a great personality. We talked about him getting an LVAD and discussed the pros and cons of the device. He made me laugh several times and so enjoyed his company. George was a Christian and I know God is with him now. His wife Rena is a wonderful Christain lady that loved him dearly. I know losing a loved one is tough but thank God you have those wonderful memories that will sustain you during the tough times. Just know that you will be with George again. May God ease your burdens and provide you peace until you meet again. God bless you Rena!

Rena & Family
It can be so hard to face the first year without your loved one, but the love of family and friends can carry you through.
George was a great person. He kept me laughing all time. I remember the last time I talked with him it was in August. I had a great time at your home. He talked so much stuff I couldn't do anything but LAUGH.
He's truly missed.

George was a man with lots of personality and one of the biggest smiles and robust laughs that we all enjoyed. I will miss the phone calls and the ribbing I shared with George; those were fun times. It is such a pleasure to have known George and to have been invited to be a part of your loving family. It is that love that will keep you strong and enable you to continue your journey. Keep a candle lit in your hearts for George and you will be blessed with comfort and healing.
We love you and are here for you,

Rena and Family,
May God continue to keep you and comfort you as your loved one goes home to be with the Lord. I know that George was well loved and respected-- cherished even for his laughter and his ability to make people laugh. He had great character and a big heart. May his memory live on in your heart and especially in your smile and laughter. Be at peace knowing that you showed love and cared for him, and you are an example to us all of how to unconditionally care for someone. My sympathy is with you in this your time of grieving. But remember, you've been a blessing, so be blessed. With Love!

I have known George since middle school. We always were partners in home economics. We had to cook together. We went on to high school and remained friends afterwords. I saw him and spoke with him maybe 5 or more years ago. I was so sad to hear he had passed. Now I wish I had called more and went to visit. His memories lives on. He will always be a great friend. My email is [email protected] Do not hesitate to contact me.

Rena, and Agnes, and family. I can not put into words the sorrow within me for the tragic lost of such an amazing young man. George and Tinyboy shared the same birthday, and we often were together briefly on that day. George never stopped smiling, or joking. It was a part of who he was, and his laugh was infectious. He made it clear how much he loved his family, and enjoyed family time. You are two strong ladies, and God is obviously with you,and will continue to be with you. Agnes, you are still standing, after the loss of three children.God is, and has always been with you through it all. I can't imagine your pain, but take comfort in knowing that George is no longer in any pain, and is happy to see Jerome, and Sharon again. I will keep your family in prayers, and I am here if you ever need me. Love you, Jackie Young.

Aunt Na,
It breaks my heart to see you in pain because you have been so strong even through the toughest times. You are truly a phenomenal woman and you stood by George's side through everything and never once were you selfish because you always put George's needs before your own. You are truly the epitome of what a loving wife should be and you have my upmost respect. I watched you day by day Pray for the healing of George, so be Blessed in knowing that God has never left you and although he has called George home his memories will live on. I pray that God will continue to be a vessel and that he will guide you through this very emotional time and that you will take comfort in knowing all sickness has been removed from George's body and he has the best seat in the house right now. I love you more than words could ever say.

We have faced many trials and tribulations as George continued his Fight For Life. I know that George is in a better place and that he is no longer suffering, but the void is very hard to bear. I pray that God will grant us Peace, Mercy & Strength during these times and I know that as a Family we will make it through. George held a special place in his heart for each one of us and he always wanted to make sure everyone was happy. The memories will never fade and his love will continue to guide us through as he shines down on us.

It is such a sad time when a life so young is taken, but know that there will be no more suffering, pain or Doctors. His life was a true testament to the power of love. To the George Bannister Family, Rena you are a special person and I know that George was your soul mate may his passing from his pain and suffering provide you with God's peace and comfort that only he can give you. George was a special person to me because we had a special bond with the LVAD. He was a true fighter and as I talked with him in the hospital I knew he would find peace with his decision to go ahead with the LVAD. Only God knows why he took him so early but I know he was a man that loved life and his family and one that provided you laughter and fun. We will truely miss him and someday we will get to see George again sitting there with a great big smile on his face saying welcome home brother. Love you, Glenn
