Carol - Bill and I just received a letter from Elaine regarding George's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. You two had a wonderful life together - enjoyed traveling, fishing, biking etc. It was nice seeing you both in Polson several years ago- you look as young as ever! Thank goodness for memories to help us through these lonesome days. We will all miss him! Bill & Cheryl HInrichs - Fairfield, MT

Dearest Carol, My thoughts have been with you. It does not really seem that long ago that we would go fishing and camping when I was a child. I am thankful for the memories and very greatful to have had you both in my life. Hugs and love to you!!
God Grant Me the SERENITY
to accept the size of fish I catch,
the COURAGE not to fib about it,
and the WISDOM to know that no one
would believe me anyway.

God broke the mold when He made George. George had that unique talent of making you feel at ease and he never met a stranger. He had that broad smile and a twinkle in his eye and could visit about any subject. George and Carol (his loving true-blue life partner) were two peas in a pod and had a rare life commitment to each other.

Aunt Carol, I just found out and wanted to tell you how sorry I am to hear about Uncle George Passing!! I never had more fun fishing than I did with you and him! I have been thinking lately of that first Water-Skiing trip at Canyon Ferry, that was a total blast!!
My heartfelt condolences are with you. I'll miss him so much and I'll be thinking of you constantly!!
Always, Elijah Corrigan

Carol, George was the dearest man we have ever met, from the very first cup of tea he and you brewed for us that cold morning in Joshua Tree. He warmed our hearts that day as well, and continually renewed our spirits in so many ways. We loved every tour we ever took with him, every soak because of him, and we are indebted forever for his and your inspiring our move to Bozeman so long ago. He was the father we always wanted, and we were so lucky to have him our lives. Please know you always have a place with us, whether it be for two days, two years, or two decades, you are always welcome. We love you and George forever.

Carol,
As we grieve at George's passing, we are filled with the wonderful memories of sharing time with you two. You and George taught us the pleasures of enjoying life...wow, we always had great fun...rain or shine! Whether the adventure was camping, fishing, water-skiing, motorcycling, touring in our Model-T, or just visiting, we treasured every minute with you two. As you mentioned, George and Dad (Big Bob Hunt) are probably out fishing...yes, yes they are.
All our love,

Carol & family,
We were very sorry to hear about George's passing. I meant him in 1965 when Carpenter's took me camping at Hebgen Lake. I have never met a more avid fisherman. I think he sweet talked the fish into his boat! I will miss his teasing, his smile and that crazy laugh. May your memories of all those good times outweigh your moments of grief this week. God bless.

Carol, our thought and prayers are with you. I think of George often as he sold me my first pair of ice skates when he worked at OK Hardware many years ago. The skates hang on the wall of my shop as a fond reminder of him. Our lives have crossed paths over the years, he will be missed. GOD BLESS...

Carol: Oh how our hearts were aching when we got your phone call telling us about George. Then the memories came flooding back of all the motorcycle rides, picnics, fishing, camping trips & all the wonderful visits with you & George. Know that you are in our prayers. We love you!

Carol, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I have very fond memories of the family get-togethers with you two and Aunt Mary & Uncle Hershel, George teaching me to ski when I was small and making me practice "kick-turns" in the front yard before we could leave for the hill ! I'm sure George will be missed by all those who knew him.

Dear Carol, With tears and a heart that is breaking, I'm remembering George Mac as a good and thoughtful person, always there for us, whether we needed a warm hug, kind word or one of his great smiles. I hope he knew how much we loved him and still do....and you too. He will be missed but never forgotten.
