George Morris Butler was born in Bridgeton, NJ, on January 4, 1944. He departed this life on December 15, 2017, at age 73 after a long battle with lung cancer. George loved to cook and he and his wife, Amelia and their children traveled to many of the US states and countries of Canada, Bermuda, Mexico and a few Caribbean countries. He was a devoted father, grand-father, brother, and uncle. He loved spending time with his family and friends, and he was a member of a Bridge club, where he and Amelia frequently played with many of their friends. I worked for George when he was at Safeco Ins. in the early 1970's. He was likely the smartest person I have ever known. He was an outstanding mentor and directly responsible for my 30 year career at the same company. He was stoic at times but had an outstanding sense of humor. I have thought of George often and miss that man.

I only knew George for a short time, as a member of our Bridge Club, The Seattle Coasters. He was friendly, sociable, well respected and a good, competitive Bridge player. We had some warm, sociable times with Amelia and George at our Bridge gatherings. I was so sad to hear of George's
death. Amelia, Morris and Kristi you have my deepest sympathy and prayers. May sweet memories of your loved one comfort you as God sustains, guides
and keeps you. I am remembering you in my prayers.
Love,
Charlotte Ruff
