George A Carpenter

We knew George and Carol initially due to George's service as a director of Genesee Bank in Flint where Webb worked. We new them socially due to our mutual involvement in the Flint community. At one point George and Carol were planning on joining us on a raft trip through the Grand Canyon but they withdrew following a tennis injury George suffered. Years later we crossed paths in Harbor Springs, MI where we belonged to the same country club. One fun memory is their highly competitive participation in the Club's bi-weekly Trivia nights. The Carpenters graciously helped introduce us to the membership and welcomed us as guests in their home. George was a true gentleman and a kind and supportive director of the bank in Flint and the community in Harbor Springs. He and Carol were special people who we know will be truly missed by their family.
