Undoubtedly, Chief Warrant Officer 4 George L Coleman, USA, Ret. consistently displayed consummate professionalism and unwavering dedication as a US Army aviator throughout his amazing career. His overall accomplishments during his lifetime are clearly recognized by family, friends, and many within the OV-1 Mohawk community. My privilege was to serve and fly with him while assigned to the 73rd AVN CO in the 1972-73 time-frame. In his passing may the family take comfort in the Lord our God, in prayer, and knowing he can now fly with the angles.

CW4 Coleman was an anchor providing a superb mentoring presence to a lot of pilots during my Command tenure at the 224th MI BN (AE). Soldier/Aviators like George supplied a bedrock of confidence that enabled us to accomplish extraordinary missions. I’m greatly saddened by your loss, but greatly honored to have served with him. I pray for comfort from The Father as you work through this difficult period. Thank you for sharing him with us.

George was a 'serious' man but he always contributed everything he was able to. Hard working and friendly, he was a major asset to our Mohawk Association. I was in Vietnam after his tour but our common bonds in aviation made us good friends. Marcia, we will all miss him very much.
