GEORGE CHRISTOPHER CONLEY (Age 63)
Passed away on October 9, 2017 at his home in Wheaton, MD. He graduated from Wheaton High School in 1972 and received a degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland. Chris was a Master Electrician in MD, VA and DC and was a member of I.B.E.W. Local 26 for 29 years. Chris was a professional motorcycle racer and later, a professional motorcycle race official with WERA and AMA. Chris was also a commercial hot air balloon pilot.He is survived by his sister, Anne Conley-Pitchell and her husband, Mark Pitchell; by his brother, Patrick M. Conley; as well as his nieces, CharlotteJane and Libby Burns; and nephew, Lealand Burns. Relatives and friends may call at Collins Funeral Home, 500 University Boulevard West, Silver Spring, MD, 20901 (Valet Parking), Monday, October 16 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and at St. Catherine LaBoure Church, Veirs Mill & Claridge Roads, Wheaton, MD 20902 on Tuesday, October 17 from 10 to 11 a.m., where Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment National Memorial Park. www.COLLINSFUNERALHOME.com

Chris was one of my greatest and closest friends for many years. I appreciate the time care and guidance he gave me thru my racing career. Will always cherish the times we spent together off and on the track. Godspeed my friend.
