Kelly and family, I am so sorry about the loss of your Greenie. I just finished reading The Middle Place and I can tell you - George Corrigan is alive and well on those pages. Much love to you.

I feel in love with George Corrigan while reading Kelly's book, The Middle Place. I wish I'd had a chance to meet the Green Man on earth. May he rest in peace. Kelly, you and your family are in my prayers.

Just heard the news about George. Knew him when we were in Chicago some 50 years ago. He was the best-always enthusiastic, always positive and uplifting to those around him- a great loss but the world a better place because of him. The family is in our prayers. Earl Linehan (Baltimore)

George was such a special man. We used to always play tennis whenever a Corrigan got married which I enjoyed immensely. George just had such a sweet spirit. He will be missed by many. He got us tickets for the UVA @ MD game in 2001 and got the last laugh as the Terrapins put it on the Cavaliers that day. I remember singing the MD fight song (it was one of my dad's favorite tunes) after the game.

I'm shocked. George was such a great guy. Seemed like every time I was in the MCC locker room, he'd be at his locker, we'd say friendly hellos, and he'd ask me how I was doing? He always had such a positive attitude and it was an absolute pleasure seeing him whenever I did. George, you will be missed.

To the great Corrigan family: We only heard about George's passing after the funeral mass on Saturday so we did not attend to honor one of the great ones. The connections between the Corrigans and Pettits are too numerous to mention. I had the great fortune to be coached by two of the most inspiring mentors in all of lacrosse, George and Dick. Radnor lacrosse will never be the same without George prowling the sideline.

Certainly left this world a better place. Had a great ability to make everyone around him feel happy to be together as a community. A great man from a great family. Res in piece.

Edward wrote beautifully of Big George's influence on a generation of athletes. I was one of them when he brought me into hockey at the age of 6. It has been one of the defining influences in my life, and I have often and loudly credited Big George for teaching the love of not just hockey, but of sport and of life. Great man, great memories. Much love to Mary, G'Bear, Booker and Kelly-
