Palemon T. Medina

Medina, Palemon T. Zilwaukee, Michigan Passed away Saturday, January 24, 2009 at home. Age 93 years. Palemon was born November 17, 1915 in Mexico, the son of the late Antonino and Pieda (Torres) Medina. He married Catarina Zamora on May 5, 1941, she predeceased him January 10, 2003. He worked at General Motors and retired after 13 years of service. He was a member of the Harvest Assembly of God Church. Surviving are ten children and their spouses, Juan and Elodia Medina, Midland, MI; Gilberto and Virginia Medina, Ponchatula, LA; Alicia and Jesus Luna, McQueeney, TX; Jose and Francisca Medina, Saginaw; Ricardo and Lucy Medina, San Jose, CA; Luis and Alma Medina, Saginaw; Palemon (Sonny) Jr. and Chona Medina, Saginaw; Yolanda and Tim Spooner, Saginaw; Sylvia Medina, Saginaw; Judy and Bill Olivares, Bridgeport; 27 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Palemon was also predeceased by two sons Jimmy and Pete, nine brothers and two sisters. Funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 30, 2009 at Harvest Assembly of God, 625 S. 17th St. Rev. Jerry Flores will officiate with burial at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens under the auspices of VFW Post #7542. Friends may call at the W.L. Case & Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and then on Thursday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. where friends will meet at 7:30 p.m. for a prayer service.
