George Douglas

My family and myself send our condolences to all of Georges family. We had a home on Sagamore Beach for over 60 years , George was always around with a joke and a smile. He will be missed. Peace be with you in heaven my friend.

My sincere condolences and prayers to the family of George Douglas. It is with great sadness that I mourn the loss of my best childhood friend from Quincy Point. George and I grew up in the old government four-family housing buildings on Edinboro Road. Both our fathers worked in the Fore River Shipyard. Our families were close. His parents were best friends with my parents, and my sister is best friends with his sister. He was my friend, protector, and mentor, when we were kids growing up in the streets. He was formidable, tough, steadfastly loyal, and never one to mince words. I will miss him deeply and will miss our discussions and check ins. George you will be sorely missed and until we meet again.
