George Dudnikov Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Jul. 7, 2024.
George Dudnikov, 66, of San Jose, CA, passed away on June 6, 2024, in North Port, FL. He was the husband of Susan Hughes. George was born on July 16, 1957, in Bronx, NY to Duna (Redko) Dudnikow and the late George Dudnikow Sr. George will be remembered by family and friends as being one of a kind with a personality that was larger than life. George attended Bronx High School of Science and earned his Mechanical Engineering degree from Columbia University. His entire career, from Engineering Manager to CTO, was spent in the Printed Circuit Board tech industry where he was an influential force, pushing technology limits and challenging others to do the same. He will be remembered by many as an innovator, mentor and coach. George is survived by his wife and sons, Nicholas and Alexander, mother, and brother Andrew.

George was a real "freak"; just like myself. I was from Brooklyn. He was a NY Bronx homeboy. He really knew his PWB engineering 'shiz. I remember him reminding me about how good french fries and malt-vinegar tasted (as we discussed Surface Insulation Resistance engineering) when we worked togther in upstate NY. His personality and "no-bullshiz" engineering was invigorating. May the Good Lord please rest his soul. I am so sorry for Susan...

I was shocked when another old colleague told me that George had passed away. The old memories come flooding back. I worked with George when I was at Founder PCB from 2012-2017. George was a very passionate person and he was always a fighter. On my first trip abroad that I took with George, he explained to me that there is no speed limit on some highways in Germany, so he drove at over 200 km/h and I remembered taking a picture of it. He was a lot of fun to work with at the time. After he joined VGT, we didn't see each other again, but in July last year we spoke and even spoke on the phone when he was at a meeting with another client. You have left us far too early! RIP, Geroge
