George J. Duhaime, a lifelong resident of Needham, died on Friday December 31, 2010 at Massachusetts General Hospital. He was 60 years old. Son of the late Wilbrod L. and Doris L. (Perry) Duhaime, George grew up in Needham, attended Needham Public Schools and was a member of the Needham High Class of 1970. For over 20 years, George worked for the former AJ Felz Plumbing Supply Co in Newton Highlands. He was the owner of D’s Bait and Tackle in Needham. George was an avid and accomplished hunter and fisherman. The beloved husband of Mary C. (Quern) Duhaime, he was the loving father of Joyce M. Duhaime – Jourdan and her husband Jim of Needham and Jennifer A. Duhaime-Baker and her wife Suzanne of Randolph. George was the brother of Lorraine Abruzzi of Framingham, Doris Paolucci of Lenox, Iris Nasson of Jamaica Plain and the late June Perry and the grandfather of James, Jacqueline and Joseph. Funeral from the Eaton Funeral Home 1351 Highland Ave Needham on Wednesday January 5 at 9:30 AM followed by A Mass of Christian Burial in Mary Immaculate of Lourdes Church, Newton Upper Falls at 10:30 Am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Visiting hours on Tuesday from 4 – 8 PM. Interment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in George's name may be made to the American Heart Association, 20 Speen Street, Framingham MA 01701.
