Please accept my sincere condolences to the Foreman family, many, many friends, and fans for your beloved father Mr. George Foreman. Mr. George Foreman was the two-time heavyweight boxing champion and Olympic gold medalist who later parlayed his fame into a successful entrepreneurial career. He had a wonderful career in the sport world of boxing. May you find comfort in your wealth of fond memories together with Kalani David. May the God of comfort bless your grieving hearts with strength, loving kindness and peace as the world copes with the loss of Mr. George Foreman. He had a tremendous career and accomplishment. May his love and legacy continue to inspire his family and countless others who lives he touched."

` Big George ` had a vision for himself and his family, one that meant success! Naming his boys George, repetitively, in his mind, represented continued success. Surely he tasted success repeatedly! Out of all the Pro Athletes, and TV celebrities and actors and Great Recording Artis in our modern day area, who had been given platforms to entertain and to set records and to establish things in their careers but more so to be a light unto this world, no one's light was brighter than Big George Formans. For in his own humble and powerful way his life will always be a beacon of light for righteousness and Our LORDS kingdom. He used his platform in a way that I pray other famous people would do before CHRIST return, I have to believe that GOD will give him a crown far greater than any accolades he achieved here on earth. I visited his church one time and was able to witness the mystery of what was so great inside him. I'm praying for his family...I don't believe I have to tell them how blessed they are to have had such a great man of GOD in their lives.
I'm glad I got to meet him.
His life and story has made me a better preacher, Pastor and Mass communication specialist.

It had been a great hope of ours to get to meet George and spend some time. My brother, William and I, are thankful to him and the family for that blessing. You all made us feel so welcome. I had the privilege and honor of meeting George Foreman several years ago while I served as a ticket taker at the VIP entrance at the Toyota Center Houston,Texas.He was always a cheerful and polite patron as he entered the VIP entrance on his way to his private suite.As was his practice he would always greet me and shake my hand,saying "Hello,James,good to see you again." George Foreman was a great boxer, father, and athlete. I watched almost every fight since he returned to the ring in 1987. My most memorable boxing match was the Holyfield vs Foreman fight. I also watched George when he became an HBO boxing analyst. I loved George's attitude overall and his philosophy on life. He gave great advice. I bought two of the George Foreman's grills and enjoyed them very much. George Foreman was a boxing legend and he will be greatly missed. RIP George Foreman.

George was larger than life. I remember him in the Olympics and later as a pro boxer and then later when he made his "comeback" fight right here in Sacramento, CA at age 39. George was a totally classy guy whether he was boxing or selling cooking grills or mufflers on tv or acting as a guest commentator at a fight. I sent an email to George once and he took the time to reply rather than ignore me. Rest in peace George in that great boxing ring in the sky.

To the family of George Foreman,

You remember him perhaps as husband, father, athlete, minister. A giant of a man.
For me he was my mentor, encouraging me when life took an unexpected turn. George was our guest in Yaounde, Cameroon for the duration of his stay there. He talked of his early days, when he was a boy. He remembered he was thin and unskilled in boxing and was chided for such. It was the janitor, he said, who suggested he come back to the gym at night and the two could work together, young man, older man. One of George's gift was to become the older man for so many. He, Mal Whitfield and Lee Evans kept my house laughing and the city of Yaounde hopping. If ever there was a force of benevolence, coaching, and good humor for the aspiring athletes of Cameroon, it was in that time, in those days.
It was an honor to witness the love and power these men carried within themselves and extended to all.

Growing up attending Atherton Elementary School and playing at the Hester house in 5th Ward, I always felt connected to him. He was an inspiration for me and has left an indelible impression. When he became a minister I applauded his transformation and realized how GOD BROUGHT HIM FULL CIRCLE AND HAD PROTECTED HIM FOR HIS PURPOSE AND GLORY.

George Foreman and I grew up in 5th Ward during the same era. We are just a couple of months apart in age. I have always wanted to meet him to talk about his days in fifth Ward. That never came to pass, and I am deeply saddened. Sincere condolences to all of his loved ones.
