I saw this in the paper and i knew right away it was Mr. Frazier, our shop teacher in the 70's at Western Guilford High School in Greensboro, NC. Simply put, I, and all of us loved Mr. Frazier. I think I can safely say he was maybe the single most well-liked teacher at WGHS during my time there until I graduated in '77. I loved his classes and always had fun talking to him and always felt listened to. ALWAYS. I was proud to see him referenced as Dr. Frazier. Please accept my condolences. Your family is in my heart & prayers. RIP Mr. Frazier...Mike Yow

I remember Mr. Frazier from shop class in '75 at Western Guilford High School. He was and still is my favorite teacher. I loved his sense of humor and his ability to communicate with his students. The amazing way he made you feel like he cared about you and how he always wanted the best for his students. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and always remember by all he touched. May he always live in your hearts and know that he was loved by so many.

I worked with George Frazier both at Western Guilford and at the Central Office of Guilford County Schools. Reading the messages from both students and teachers at the schools he served show how much he contributed to the lives of many. My thoughts are with his family.

Mrs. Frazier, I would like to give my condolences. Mr. Frazier was my shop teacher in High School, WG, out of all my teachers I remember him the most. I always enjoyed his class and still have some work I did hanging in my house today.
May the Lord be with you during this time.
God Bless,

Coach Frazier was my cross country coach at Western Guilford from 1975-1977. In 1977 our team was the fastest 3A team in the State and #4 among all NC high schools. His leadership and extremely tough workouts prepared us well not only for competition but also for life. I will never forget him and the lessons I learned. I am eternally grateful. My deepest sympathy to the Frazier family. Dr. Frazier, or Coach Frazier as I remember him, was an excellent educator and coach. He treated his students with respect and fairness. He was one of the many great role models we had at Western Guilford. Thanks Coach for all you did for us. We were blessed to have known you. Harold Kincaid WGHS Class of 1977.

I first met Mr (Coach) Frazier in the fall of 1973 when I decided to go out for cross country as a freshman at Western Guilford High School. I was so slow he should have told me to spend my time doing other things...but he didn't. What he did do was work me harder than I had ever been worked in my life. My sophomore year, I was the most improved runner! My father died when I was 11, and Coach Frazier was one of the first male mentors in my life. I have never, ever forgotten this and still think of him often. Everyone who has ever been touched by him whether as a student, athlete, or work colleague has been blessed and hopefully carries a small piece of him with them in their day to day lives. I am so sorry for your family's loss but know that your love and faith will carry your family through this difficult time. I have missed him ever since I graduated in 1977.

I can't remember what grade I was in, but Mr. Frazier was my homeroom teacher at Western Guilford in the mid-1970s. He was a wonderful person and the coolest homeroom teacher ever. He always listened to students, was quite laid-back and just a decent man all the way around. In all my years at Western Guilford, I never heard anyone say anything bad about him. I'm so sorry for your loss, but know that Mr. Frazier touched many lives through the years. He was a teacher/administrator who made a difference.

I'm saddened to hear of Dr. Frazier's death. He retired from Rose shortly before I did. He always presented himself with a highly professional demeanor, yet enjoyed a hearty laugh with the best of them. He was one of the few people who enjoyed Good n Plenty candy with me! May God be with you, Mrs. Frazier and family!

My sister died a few years back and Dr. Frazier shared with me that his brother also, died the same way. This was a low point in my life, and he assured me that things would get better. He did make a difference in the life of so many students. I was in WalMart and a former student came up to me, and asked did I know of his passing. He showed me the many entries from Facebook, and past students were distraught to hear of the news. God will see the family through this, and know that he was a respectable man, and will be missed by many.

Dear Frazier family,
I had the distinct honor of teaching English when Dr. Frazier was principal at Southwest Guilford High School. He was by far my favorite principal because of his integrity and loyalty to all students and educators. He and Ken Wheat made working each day a pleasure! Love and prayers to all the family.

Mrs. Frazier, tears flow as I write you. During our years at Southwest Guildord when Dr. Frazier was our principal, my husband, Roy, head football coach, and I, English department, found your husband to be strict, fair and very approachable. In fact, he was the principal we most enjoyed working with during our 30 years of teaching. We are so saddened to learn of his death as we cannot imagine a school principal's office without him. Think of all the lives he touched! We are so thankful that your son Stacey is thriving as I remember both of you being very concerned about his wellbeing. Just wanted you to know that when my father died in 1986, your husband sent flowers to our home, a gesture of concern I shall never forget. Roy and I are holding you and your family close in prayer. I met Coach Frazier in 1977. I was a freshman at Western Guilford High School. He was my cross-country coach. Up to this point I had failed at every atheltic endeavor I attempted. Coach Frazier made a man out of me and made me feel like a winner. In three years I saw 5 individuals go to run at major universities after high school. I was one one them. Maya Angelou said you do not always remember what people told you but you always remember how they make you feel. He made me feel like a winner. He will be deeply missed.

Dear Pat,Michael,Stacey and Dianne,
We are so sorry about the passing of Brother George Jr. His deportment was rooted in Skenes' Chapel where he learned stewardship and committment under the watchful eyes of his parents, Brother George Sr.and Missonary Mary. I know they were proud of all his accomplishments but they were most comforted by his coming to know the Lord. Always smiling with an unassuming presence,God has called Home one of His shining lights.Be of good courage! You will see George again.

Mrs. Frazier and Family, I know these are difficult days but I think we know that today Dr. Frazier is with his maker. Since 2000 I have worked with many different people, but the longest period of time was spent working with Dr. Frazier and I can tell you that I grew not only from a professional stand point; but I also grew personally. He was a man of integrity and he was a man of faith. I remember many conversations behind closed doors where he trusted me with what he had to say and I trusted him. We never betrayed a confidence between us and that is how I knew I could trust him no matter what. He was one of the last true educators that believed in handling education the right way, and in a day where accountability seems to mean very little, he always did what was right in the eyes of the law, what was ethically right and he always placed the students and staff first; and he supported us. He always reminded me of my father and how he conducted business when he was a principal. We have lost a great man, but he no doubt made his mark on the world as well as our education system. I will always cherish the times that we worked together as well as the times we shared these past two years since his retirement. Thank You for calling me to let me know the news, but most of all thank you for agreeing to come to live in Greenville so he could be our principal. There will be many memories of Dr. Frazier that I will always remember.

Mrs. Pat Frazier, we are truly praying for you and your family. I am so grateful that my path of life crossed with Dr. George Frazier. He was a strong disciplinarian and an excellent administrator. My best years in education was spent as a teacher at JH Rose under the administration of Dr. Frazier. He was a man with great integrity and a "bright light" in the field of education. I met you all over 20 years ago through several worship experiences, as your son Pastor Stacy ministered in Rocky Mount. Dr. Frazier was a man with conviction and a vision for His people. Mrs. Frazier and family know that you can count on us to keep you lifted high before the Lord in the days, weeks, months, and years ahead. He had a heart of gold, treated his staff and students with dignity and respect.

Mrs. Pat, Pastor Stacy Frazier & Family:
It has been a very difficult task for us to accept the loss of Dr. Frazier. The last time we saw him was December, 2011. He was being a champion for justice to assist the broken hearted and the down-trodden. As you know he was a strong advocate for all man--kind but his greatest passion was for children. He was a voice for children who had no hope and he demanded EXCELLENCE from students and staff. We will truly miss Dr. Frazier, he leaves a legacy of love to his family and all of those he has touched with the gift of compassion for his fellowman. He was always so proud of the championship titles and rings obtained by the JH Rose High School football team. After a good church service, one of the main topics at the dinner table, would be the football team and their accomplishments.
