George was always so gracious with people. He didn't know a stranger. He and Donna welcomed my daughter Haley into the family with open arms. He always enjoyed playing a funny joke on the grandkids and they loved it. George has been in my thoughts for many weeks now. I'm saddened that Donna, Miles, Brooke and all his extended family will miss the joy he gave to so many. RIP Daddy G!

George was the coolest dad by far who was always hanging with us on Gameday weekends in Athens. I am a sorority sister of Brooke's. I got to spend so much time with him in Athens and on Lake Norman. He was the hostess with the MOSTESS. He taught me how to barefoot ski... he made it look easy. He was a great man, great dad, and a role model. Brooke I am so sorry for your loss. Love you guys!

Donna, Miles, Brooke and family,

I am so saddened to hear of George´s passing. He was a wonderful man and good friend. So many good times with him in the early years as brothers-in-law and at Shaw. He was always outgoing, fun and a perfect gentleman. At Shaw he was a great salesman and manager who was completely trusted by his customers and peers. George was beloved by all who knew him. He will be missed but never forgotten.

Jenny and I are so sorry we cannot be at the service - we´re out of town and committed to something this week and next.

Please know that you have our sincere thoughts and prayers for blessings and peace during and after the service. Let it be a celebration of a wonderful life.

This is a hard one. George was truly as described in his story. I met George when he first started dating Donna. I knew from the first 60 seconds that he was a perfect gentleman and the perfect man for our dear friend Donna.

They have both been an inspiration to all who know them. George's time on this earth was too short for all of us left behind. We'll miss is positive outgoing nature, his love of God, family and friends. We'll miss his zest for a life well lived. He made living life fun for all.

I'm sure he has pulled yet another prank by sneaking his Babba Teeth up to his new home in heaven. I sure hope he doesn't get in trouble for that.

We love you George and Donna.
