George HANNA Obituary
1931 - 2017
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of George "GP" Hanna, at the age of 86. He will be missed by his loving wife of 54 years Marlene, and his children Anthony (Stephanie), Kathy (Paul) and Mark (Stephanie). He was the adored Poppa of Nicholas, Lucas, Darius, Philip, Alexander, Katrina, Sophia, Amanda and Victoria; devoted brother of Bob (the late Heike), Beth (Mac), and William (Barbara); as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, family and friends. George was an icon throughout his successful and longstanding career in the Canadian footwear industry. He was a man of great integrity and generosity who was highly respected and loved by so many friends and peers. George's family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Horace Laryea and the oncology department of the Lakeshore General Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Lakeshore General Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated. The family will receive condolences on Wednesday, August 9 from 3-5 p.m. and from 7-9 p.m. at the Belvedere Funeral Complex, 22025 Route Transcanada, Senneville, QC H9X 3L7, 514-457-4440. Funeral service will take place on August 10 at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the Belvedere Funeral Complex, at the same location, with a reception to follow.

Was away at this sad time. Had so much fun with George and yourself at the hospital and enjoyed our precious time together. I will miss both your smiling faces and humour. So glad I was able to meet this fine gentleman with a wonderful and beautiful wife. God bless you both. Stan the coffee man at the hospital.
