George was like a brother I never had. when my fiesat wife died from cancer, George was there for me to lean, he was always an uncle to my kids. I loved George for his compasion and willingness to be there for you always. I met his wife only one time but haven't heard from her for a long long time. May God bless her and surround her with peace as it is still a grief to handle with a giant man like George being gone. George my brother, we will meet again in heaven again and maybe soon. Jesus thank you for loving and embracing my brother. thank you Jesus.

George and I met over ten years ago when he volunteered at Promise Place; a non-profit for abused children. This gentle, kind man stayed in touch with me for many years after he moved from New Bern, N.C. to sunny Florida. We emailed, facebooked and called now and then on the phone just to say hi, but never have I heard such excitement as when he told me he found his soon to be wife Candace. I miss you my friend and I'll see you in Heaven one day. My thoughts and prayers are with your family and friends...

My sincere wishes of comfort and peace go out to to George's wife Candace and his family and friends. I met George many years ago when he lived in New Bern, N.C. and volunteered at Promise Place; a non-profit for abused children. We stayed in touch through email, facebook, and telephone calls to each other. Such a kind and gentle man who was so happy to be married after a long journey looking for the perfect partner. I love you George and I will see you in Heaven one day. Krista Wilkes (Havelock, N.C.)

I hadn't seen cousin George in many years, but my childhood is filled with warm memories of spending time with him, MaryJane, Bobby and Barbara. Sharing our grandmother's "spoon burgers" and playing on Nantasket beach. May he know eternal peace and may the loss he leaves in all our lives be filled with fond memories like these. My condolences.

All I can think of is when we were young and always in trouble together. We stuck together even when we fought with each other. I thank God for the gift of our visit with each other and will always cherish these memories.
