Lt. Col. Hardy was indeed a great man who served his Country very proudly. Meeting him was a honor I will cherish the rest of life. As a Purple Veteran, he made me want to do more to help all veterans. May God bless the memories he left with us!

I met the Colonel at artist Frank Hopper's home in Sarasota. I was a Captain with TWA at the time. We swapped flying stories for an hour or so, with George educating me on what he and others were subjected to in World War II. My respect for him could not be higher than it is. I wish I could have spent more time with him. He was a consummate gentleman. George, my best to you on your final check ride. God speed.
