George Hawkins Jr Obituary
A distinguished graduate of Milford Mill High School, George was known for his intelligence and perseverance. He is survived by his loving fiancée Karen Bass, his children Tyler Hawkins and Briana Exom, and his sisters Dechele Sobrena (Hawkins) Barnes and Gail Hawkins. The void left by his absence will be felt by all who were graced by his kindness and compassion.
Throughout his life, George was the epitome of both mirth and modesty. His career was marked by his creative genius and unwavering professionalism. George possessed the unique ability to uplift and connect with people, always placing the needs of others before his own. His legacy is one of selfless love and benevolent actions.
We take solace in knowing that George rests in divine peace. We will no longer hear his hearty laugh, but its memory will resonate within us. His enduring love will remain a guiding force in the lives of his family and friends.
The Hawkins family warmly extends an invitation to those who knew George to partake in the commemoration of his life. In lieu of floral tributes, the family suggests donations to a charitable organization that George held dear.
George's journey through life was marked by an abundance of kindness and joy. As we grieve his departure, we also honor and celebrate the lasting imprint he has left in our hearts. May George Alexander Hawkins Jr. find eternal rest, and may his soul be embraced by everlasting peace.

My fondest memory of George is his ever-present smile and infectious laugh. I cannot recall a time when he wasn´t smiling. As a little girl, George made me believe that I could achieve anything I set my mind to. I loved to dance, and if I had pursued my dreams with just his encouragement, I might have become a professional dancer/ballerina. I will always cherish his belief in me and use it as a source of inspiration going forward. George's light will forever shine in our hearts.

George, shared the kind of love that made everyone feel that he had a special place, in his heart just for them. He made people feel special. George was that guy. Everybody who knew him loved him. We know that Georgie left lots of love and smiles in our hearts, he had a positive impact on so many lives, those people touched by his laughter, by a hug or a kind word. His legacy will thrive, it will live on in how we choose to demonstrate and honor his memory.

My first memory of George was my introduction through my brother, Karl Sr.. I was on the telephone making arrangements to move into my apartment. He greeted me when he entered the house, nodded his head, gave me a big smile, and stared as I smiled waved back. Afterwards, we used to go out to play pool and I would dance to the music and he would watch me. I told him & my brother that if they went out and wanted to stay the night at my house...the only way reason that I'd allow it would be if if they'd go to church with me. George went (smile). We went our separate ways.
Fast forward years later in 2015, George found me on Facebook. He asked me on a date in 2016. I never knew how he felt about about me until we went on a second date and he stood in front of me and said, "I've always loved you." There was a long pause and we just embraced each other. I knew that my heart was safe. And then he said, "You don't have to say it back." So one of the many telephone conversations that we had, George always said "love you" before he got off of the phone and I said, "I love you back." We didn't get off of the phone right away..probably because he was surprised. I could feel that he was happy to receive love from me.
Our love was so unconditional, honest, and true. With GOD in our hearts and loving one another so purely, it helped us both be happy and united.
I have a lifetime of experiences, special moments, stories, laughs, cries ( he did not cause), and memories that I will forever cherish.
I am finally able to write these words because my tears would not stop flowing.
George was my best partner, best friend, best love, best confidant...best everything. I am going to miss our planned vacations and food ventures. I'm going to miss our weekend dates, whether it was eating at a restaurant, going on a road trip or just us driving to talk with me interrupting to hop out of the truck or ask him to do a u-turn so I could take a photo. When I got back in to apologize. He would just smile and say, "thats ok KB, I just enjoy watching you or that's what I'm here or that's why you keep me around." And I was touch his cheek and say to him that you're more than that George and he'd blush. I'm going to miss everything about him. I enjoyed our many, many conversations and debates. His mind was intelligent and thoughtful, body was strong and manly, and soul was genuine, loving, and spiritual. He was more than I could imagine. I was blessed to be his fiancé. We didn't make it to the aisle, but our hearts were united and we would've gotten there.
Thank you for always being loving, gentle, respectful, encouraging, providing, protecting, and more to me and our families. You helped me be the best version of myself.
I will love you back forever and ever, Sir George Alexander Hawkins, Jr. , my Magnificent, partnerNLuv, and handsome chocolate D (inside joke so he could remember my favorite Cold Stone ice cream)!!!

I met George through Karen...he was a kind gentle man with a big heart! The way he looked at Karen...I knew her heart was safe!

We were heartbroken when we heard about George’s passing. My husband and I met George through his fiancé, who is my co-worker and a very sweet friend. We are so very sorry for your loss. Our deepest condolences and prayers to Karen’s and George’s families and friends.

I am so incredibly sad to learn that George has left us. He was one of the nicest guys to work with and to just be around. His smile and laughter will be remembered. My heart goes out to Karen and his family. Thoughts and prayers to all of those that loved this wonderful man.

When George came into my sister Karen's life, he was always by her side. Whenever we had family events, he was always there with a smile and a warm embrace for all of us. I will surely miss what he brought to our family. My condolences to all family and friends who loved him as we did. Rest in peace, George.

Cousin George taught me how to play Street Fighter, Tekken, Mario etc. he showed me some of the secret tricks and hidden things in the games I´m gonna miss George there was none like him!! He took my son to Otakon which he really enjoyed!!
