To all my family: May we all remember our dear dad in our own special way. He was someone special to each and every one of us. He taught us how to be honest, faithful, thrifty, and kind. He was understanding and tolerent. He loved us all no matter what we did. May he spend eternity with his true love: MA
And to you dad, thank you for letting me be your daughter. Love to all, Donna

To all the Hawkin's family,
Know our thoughts and prayers are with you all during this very sad time. George is now receiving his well deserved rest. We are so glad we got to Bearfoot Bay in February to visit with him and Becky. He sure was a wonderful man. God Bless you all.

In an age of false heroes and unrealiable leaders, you were my mentor who remained steady as granite, and I have always kept the work ethic you taught me. Now I try to teach my Marines the same. Your legacy will live on. Tell gram we love her........

I dont even know where to start. I feel that your not being here has truly not hit me yet,as to me you are still on your way home. As much as I never wanted this day to come I know that it had to, and I am truly greatful for the 26 years I got to have you in my life. There are so many things that I am going to miss. Our conversations that I never got to say anything at all, but you always had the right answers, our coffe breaks and our treats that no one knew about but us. The trips to florida, your extremely loud snoring and that damn song that you didnt know the end to. I thank you for you always being you and execting me for being me. I love how you truly loved my husband and my daughter and I am glad that you were finally able to get Seans name right. I have regrets as we all do right now, I am sorry that I never got the chance to say goodbye, please know that I love you with all my heart and know that I am thinking about you every second. I love you Gramps. Please watch over me and my family. You are going to be missed so much by so many. I am proud to be your grand daughter! I hope you were as proud to be my Gramps!
