Gerald A. Roy

Gerald Allen Roy, 64, of Holliston, passed away Sunday, July 30, 2017. Born in Oahu, Hawaii, he was the son of the late Beatrice (Anderson) and Robert Roy. He was the husband of Diane McDermott Roy of Holliston. Gerry was the Director of the Art Department at the Foxborough Schools for many years and brought his love of art to all of his students. He was an avid photographer and artist. Besides his wife, Gerald is survived by his son, Christopher and three daughters, Catherine, Victoria, and Caroline Roy all of Holliston. He also leaves behind his siblings, Robert Roy and his wife Deborah of Richmond, VA, and Cynthia Pursell and her husband Jerry of Highland Village, TX; as well as his sisters-in-law, Colleen Vinall and her husband Charlie of Alpharetta, GA, Theresa DryFoos and her husband Bob of New Cana an, CT; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 4th from 4:30-8:00p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington St. www.ChesmoreFuneralHome.com A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, August 5th at 9:00a.m. at St. Marys Church of Holliston. Burial will follow in St. Marys Parish Cemetery.
