Hey, George, I can just see you up there in heaven, tooling around in your truck, finding all the most convoluted ways to get around and telling everyone it's a "short cut."

I remember our trips together for two years going to pick up my monthly newspaper from the printer -- in Newport, in Claremont, in White River Junction -- and then all around the southern part of NH, dropping off bundles at restaurants, theaters and galleries where readers could pick up their free copies. Oh, the talks we had!

George, you were the genuine article -- an honest-to-goodness genuine Yankee Farmer -- a little old-fashioned, practical, canny and of course, frugal.

Go with God, George, go with God. You will be fondly remembered.

George and Patty,

Please accept our deepest sympathy on the loss of your father. Certainly no words can adequately diminish this loss. But know that our thoughts and good wishes are with you.

An uncle that I never got to know well at all, and will forever regret that. My father always, always spoke of you with a great deal of respect. My condolences, thoughts and prayers go out to my cousins and their family's.

Mr. Jones you were a pleasure to work with at the office of Jones and Horan. To work with you was almost always the highlight of any day. You were the closest person to a grandfather I knew as a young man and I learned much about the beauty of old age through you. Peace.

You were a good father,husband,brother,father-in-la

w, but you were a really good friend also. I know we did not see much of each other after I moved out of state, but we thought of you, the farm and the good times often. Rest in pease and say hello to Ruth when you arrive at the pearly gates. Love you both...

Sandi and I send our deepest sympathies to the Jones family. George was always a gentlemen to me and often took the time over the years to chat about family, and the community, when we would run into each other. He was a good man. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. With regards,

You were the best father and grandfather a daughter could ask for. You gave so much and asked for so little. We are so proud and grateful for having you in our lives. Your spirit will remain in all of us forever. Your gifts of love and joy will live on.

You were a precious gift to us!
