George L. Jones

1944 - 2017

George L. Jones passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 19, 2017. Funeral: 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 22, at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Chapel. Intermentl follows. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 21, at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home.. George was born March 11, 1944, to parents, Cody Roy Jones and Elizabeth Myrtle Burk Jones. George was a devout Christian and had an unrelenting faith. He had a love for music and participated in the music ministry of the churches where he was a member. George developed a love for quilting because it was one of his wife's passions. It became one of his own and he volunteered many hours to Quilts of Valor. George was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Debbi Survivors: George is survived by close family friends, Patty and Walt King; Pastor Randy Grosenbach and his church family of Haltom City Christian Church; Debbi's children, Judi (Robert) Homan of Memphis, Tenn., and Joe (Melissa) Bryant of The Colony, Texas; and grandchildren.
