George T. Kline

George T. Kline passed away, suddenly, on May 6, 2021 at the age of 84. Beloved husband of Virginia R. "Ginny" Kline (nee Furlong); loving father of Kimberly Forward (Steve), George J. "Bud" Kline (Stephanie) and Marc Kline; cherished grandfather of Nicholas Migliaccio, Reese Kline, George Kline and Evangeline Kline; dear brother of Mary Wilson, Annamae McCarron and Kathleen Moore (James). The greatest gift a person can share with the world is being a consummate family man devoted to setting the example of what love, humility, selflessness, empathy, humility, honor and integrity look like. Buddy Kline gave this gift to his entire family. We are truly living in a better world because of the example he set. His generosity, honesty and devotion to his family and friends separated him among average people. He never missed a Sunday Mass at St Charles Borromeo Church, and loved seeing familiar faces when he took up the collection. He was beyond special and lived a truly epic life, filled with loving family and friends and enjoyed golfing, watching the Eagles and Phillies. A 1955 Graduate of North Catholic, he went on to play basketball and baseball at Lasalle University. After college he became a Philadelphia Fireman and was a lieutenant when he retired. He was a Professional Referee in the ABA (American Basketball Assoc.) and also refereed in the Catholic League . He worked, until the day he passed, for Honeywell, selling Fire Equipment. He will be truly missed for his great sense of humor and heart of Gold. Relatives and friends are invited to George's Life Celebration on Saturday, May 15, 2021 beginning at 9:00 a.m. at John F. Givnish Life Celebration Home, 10975 Academy Rd., Phila., followed by his Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. Interment private.
