"Hippie Dave"
David M. "Dave" Simpson, age 54, of Toledo, passed away on Monday, March 18, 2013, at the Veterans Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He was born November 17, 1958, to Russell A. and Patricia A. (Mooneyham) in Toledo; he was recently preceded in death by his father on March 12, 2013, and his mother Patricia survives in Toledo. Dave enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, camping and spending time with his family. He spent many summer days on his porch, sitting there and absorbing the wildlife and world that was happening around him. Dave will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 33 years, Renee F. (Paul) Simpson; daughter, Heather Whitaker and fiancé, Dean Versansky; son, Joshua Kane Simpson; sister, Linda Lou Simpson; niece, Andrea and nephew, Jacob. Preceding him in death are his sister, Stacy Sue Simpson, and brother, Scott Allen Simpson.
At Dave's request there will be a memorial service held at a later date where his life will be celebrated.
Memorial Contributions may be made to his family.
