Looker George Arnold Looker was born on May 9, 1935 in Nut Mountain, SK. He passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 21, 2010 at the Weyburn General Hospital, Weyburn, SK with his family by his side. Arnold completed grade ten in Nut Mountain, SK. He was employed by Sask Power at 17 years of age and received the nickname of Tag from his co-workers. He worked alongside his brother Tiny providing power to rural Saskatchewan. Arnold and Wilma were married on Nov 27, 1954. He moved his family onto a quarter section of land near Hume in 1973. His greatest joy was riding his tractor working his land. He and Wilma retired off the farm in 1994, but his love for fishing, hunting and sausage making continued. Many hours were spent teasing his grandchildren and other special little people who came to visit. Countless hours were spent watching curling, hockey, football and other sports as well as endless games of crib. Arnold is predeceased by his parents: George Looker & Elizabeth Hodgson; his brother: Ken Hodgson and his son: Brian Looker. Arnold is survived by his wife: Wilma Looker of Weyburn, SK; his four children: Val (Keith) Gutenberg of Saskatoon, SK; Lorraine (Warren) Wilkinson of Weyburn, SK; Wayne (Tracy) Looker of Grand Prairie, AB: and Darren Looker of Moose Jaw, SK; eight grandchildren, two great grand children and three brothers, Allan (Gail) Looker, Jim (Nancy) Hodgson and Brent (Shirley) Hodgson. A private service to honor his memory was conducted for family and close friends. Remember him with a smile today
He was not one for tears
Reflect instead on memories
Of all the happy years
Recall to mind the way he spoke
And all the things he said
His strength, his stance, the way he walked
Remember these instead
The good advice he'd give us
His eyes that shone with laughter
So much of him will never die
But live on ever after
As we loved you, so we miss you
In our memory you are near
Loved, remembered, longed for always
Bringing many a silent tear

We miss you so much Poppy and will always cherish the many memories and time we got to spend with you.

Love Always,
Liz

To the Looker Family. My condolences to you. I remember as a kid playing shiny on the patio between the Looker house and garage in Francis. He must have put up with a lot of noise from all of us kids. Thanks for letting us play there.
