George LUND Obituary
July 5, 1924 - May 10, 2013
It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our Dear Papa, George LeRoy Lund Jr. of Darwell, AB on May 10, 2013 in Stony Plain, Alberta at the age of 88 years.
George's love for life, lead his family to many exciting adventures around the world. He was a compassionate person who loved his family, and loved his work as a farmer. He leaves behind his loving wife, Anna, children John Lund (Lindsey), Dawn Clee (Don Ettinger), Hal Clee (Holly), Deanna Clee (Chris Moore); grandchildren Kristen (Matt), Kevin (Karlie), Robin, Tegan, Sophie, Leslee (Dani), Justeen; great-grandchildren Hailey, Isabelle, Jace and Brielle and sister Alice Cooper.
Predeceased by his parents George and Marie and sisters Francis Wilson and Dorothy Lornie. Thank you to Westview Health Centre in Stony Plain and the Onoway Home Care Nurses, for their compassionate care
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 15, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at the Lake Isle Community Hall, Lake Isle, AB with Pastor Ron Wesley officiating. Inurnment to follow in the Darwell Community Cemetery, Darwell, AB.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made in memory to the Alberta Cancer Foundation, 10123 - 99 Street, Edmonton, AB T5J 3H1.

I recall George, who to me was called "Jr.", when I lived with my grandparents, Roy and Gertrude Reynolds, on their Lake Isle farm. We often visited the family. Goodbye ole friend.
