George MacDonald Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers from Dec. 30 to Dec. 31, 2008.
OBITUARY GEORGE MacDONALD Beloved husband of the late Gloria Croll, dearly loved father of Heather MacDonald, Bonnie Schatia (David) and loving "Papa" of grandsons George (Geordie) and James Taylor of Ottawa. Dad left us peacefully, at age seventy-nine, to be together at last with Mom. Devoted to one another for fifty-one years, Mom and Dad will rest together in a place they both loved. Throughout his life, Dad's kind and generous spirit was extended to all who knew him; a true "gentleman". In accordance with our father's wishes, there will be no service/ visitation. Cremation will be followed by the interment, to take place at a later date in Milles Isles, Quebec. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Dad's honour to either the Children's Wish of Canada/Quebec West Chapter, 4200 St. Laurent Blvd., Suite 418, Montreal, Qc, H2W 2R2 or to the Endocrinology Department of the MUHC, in care of Dr. Jacques How, 1650 Cedar Avenue, room C6.129, Montreal, Qc, H3G 1A4, 514-934-8362. May you rest in peace George. I will remember you in many ways; for your ability to turn wood blocks into those beautifully carved ducks; sharing vacations at the lake; many family gatherings and holidays spent together.

You struggled for so long and now it is over. Go to rest knowing you will be missed by those who loved you.
