I just saw this that George had left us. I met him thru the INDY group at bowling. I would see him on occasion at Menards where I work. We would chat and joke. George was always smiling, such a nice guy. A beautiful tribute. I have missed seeing him at Menards. R.I.P. George. My heartfelt condolences to his entire family.

George was usually a force for fun and frolic on the dance floor. Usually more than willing to goof around a bit. He often had a joke to share and greeted me with a smile. He will be missed. Thanks for the fun George!

I was so saddened, tonight, to hear of George´s recent passing. I only got the chance to sit and talk with him a couple of times, at Manhattan´s, and thought I´d see him soon and pick up with more great conversation. George´s smile, intelligence, and humor were undeniable and he had the ability to make everyone feel special and interesting themselves! Godspeed and rest, George. Your twinkling eye and contagious enjoyment of life will be missed by so many people!

I will truly miss George. George was one of a kind. You had to love George because he was George. The dance floor will never be the same. My condolences to the family. I am unable to attend the memorial, however I did make a donation in his memory.

Those of us who knew George for years will remember his quick smiles, his goofy laugh and quirky sense of humor. He always enjoyed himself wherever he turned up. He marched to a different drummer but always meant well. So many funny stories come to mind but mostly he will be missed by all that knew him.

What first attracted me to George was his quick mind and wit. He could be incredibly funny. He'd have me laughing so hard I was crying. He had no filters but at least you knew what he was thinking. I swear sometimes he was thinking to himself not realizing he was speaking out loud. He brought joy to so many with his dancing. I think that's why were getting so much snow now. He's stomping up a storm and twirling about in heaven.
He was very proud of his children and grandchildren.
I miss you George, have some "Olive Juice" Ta-Ta, Molly

George was someone who will be missed simply by being George. He lived life on his own terms, always smiling, caring and one who was matter of fact. One best part of George that consistently made me smile was his willingness to share a bite on his plate or a taste of his drink, if you simply asked if it was any good. RIP George, it will be hard to replace the hole you left behind in so many hearts.

George was a character with a personality a writer would definitely have fun with. What I loved about George was his brutal honesty, no pretenses with George. What you saw was what you got. Although at times, he could have used some filtering, he meant no harm. A fun dancer beyond compare, a smile no matter what life threw his way and a mindset of an inquisitive, playful child. One night after dancing most of the night away, he texted me, "Thank you, you made me feel alive". Those words will live on with me forever. RIP George.

So sorry to hear about George's passing. He was a good friend. Loved cards and games. My first meeting was my first game night after becoming a widow myself. He made me feel welcome and part of the group. He was always fun. Rest in peace. Nancy Huck

What a beautiful tribute. Not at all surprised George was there for those in the hospital while returning from Vietnam. I will miss seeing him out dancing and his warm welcome hugs!

I had the pleasure of bowling with George a few times on Wednesday with the INDY group bowlers. A very fun and competitive bowler. He told me way was because at that time we were bowling for a quarter playing the card bowling game. He wanted to win for me maybe he thought I was broke and needed the money I laughed and said it's all good all about the fun. Thanks so much George for the good times. Rest in peace

What an incredible man he was. He was such a lover of life. Our friends are an incredible group of diverse and eclectic people yet we would always have the best time dancing at outdoor concerts enjoying live bands and other great get-togethers. I can't remember ever since George without a smile on his face. I / we will surely Miss him.
