In memory of

To my old friends DeeDee, Margie and Susan: I was grieved to hear of George's death. I was thrilled to see him with you, DeeDee, at Wendell's service, and am sorry I did not have a chance to speak with him that day. What a wonderful giving man the world has lost. His service to community we honor ... and I personally will remember the many belly laughs he managed to provoke from my being! Much love to all the family ...

George was a very kind, and warm hearted man. A gentleman and a gentle man, he helped so many young people get their start in life, including me. I will always be grateful.

To The Family Of George Martin: I had the distinct pleasure of working with "Mr. Martin" at Canisius College. He was always a champion of his Alma Mater, which was near and dear to his heart as was the Buffalo community. He was a true gentleman and this area will miss one of its biggest boosters. May you all find peace and comfort when you share his memory. Moey O'Connor Oakley

I remember Mr. Martin very fondly. He was a neighbor of mine in the late 60's. He was always very kind and generous. May God give him eternal rest. I will remember him in my prayers and Masses

Karen, my thoughts and prayers to you and your family. Your Uncle George was a wonderful man and true gentleman. I have many fond memories from our days with the New York State Council of Parks. He was a good friend and mentor. Am so glad I had a chance to visit with him again this past summer.

I will always remember George from my days serving as a Trustee on the Canisius College Board of Trustees. George was Canisius College through and through. He worked so hard for the College and was known by many people associated with the College. He was a friend of the members of my family. He was an outstanding gentleman.

I had the pleasure of knowing George during Mayor Sedita's Administration from 58-62. I must say that he was one of the finest people that I've ever met in my life. He was a fine attorney, a real gentleman and always had a warm and welcoming smile. He's a great loss to the community.

Mr. Martin, for he will forever be that in my mind, was a lovely and loving man. Quiet, unassuming and kind, he had the best smile.
Be at rest, George.
