George Otto Martin Jr.

George Otto Martin, Jr., age 81, of Adona, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017. He was born October 5, 1935 in Adona, a son to the late George Otto Martin Sr., and Irene Harkey Martin. He was a Bridge Inspector for the Arkansas Highway Department, and a member of the Ola Church of Christ. He loved the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and farming. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Cathy Herring Martin of Adona; son, Michael Martin of Adona; daughter, Michelle Martin of Adona; sister, Marilyn Tippin of Ola; brother, Dr. Damon Martin of Adona; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandfather, Haygood Redford Harkey. Graveside services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Liberty Cemetery with Bro. Denis LaCook officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
