Wow, I still miss the Meads so much! They were my alternate parents in Elm Grove growing up there. I spent many hours at their house, in their swimming pool and on the lakes with them. They were so gracious to me, welcomed me to lunch and dinner so many times, especially at the house in Michigan! I miss them so much!!!! Now I still keep in touch with Holly, my best friend in high school and beyond!!!! Jan E. Mooney

Just saw this now. My sympathies to the Mead family.
I was honored to have known and cared for Mr Mead. What an elegant, delightful man! I will remember him fondly, he seemed a devoted and loving spouse to his wife and was a proud papa telling me about his children.
May he Rest in Peace.

George told me "I've lived a very blessed and privileged life". It was an honor to know him. I will miss him so much.

I will always remember George as almost a second father to me. He was always so knowledgeable about everything going on in the world and so interested in what I and my family were doing. His smile and sense of humor will never be forgotten nor were the fun times I had at his various homes, especially at the Dunes in Michigan. Both Betty and George were some of the greatest people I have ever known or hope to know!
