GEORGE MINKIN

MINKIN--George. July 18, 1920, died December 25, 2011 at age 91. He was the beloved husband of Helen Minkin. He was the son of Belle Celia Rusitzky and Jacob Minkin, a nationally known labor attorney. He was sibling to Sybil Jackson (deceased) and Noah Minkin (surviving) of Arlington, Virginia and uncle to Leonard Jackson (deceased) and Marsha Jackson, Larry Jackson and Nancy Riedel (surviving). Mr. Minkin served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. He received B.A. (1941), LL.B. (1947), and LL.M. (1948) degrees from Harvard University, and from 1948 to 1950, he was Assistant Dean at Harvard Law School. He is a retired partner of Carter Ledyard & Milburn LLP. Over his long career, George earned the trust and respect of clients and colleagues alike. A private memorial service is planned.
