The Findlays, Dorothy, Karen Janet and Graham, extend their sympathy on the death of your father. Duff was very much appreciated at Valdurn - he did so much to launch it into a vibrant community.

Duff was one of my Father's first Battery Commanders. Dad always spoke so highly of Duff that it was a real pleasure to actually meet him many years ago. Canada, his family and his Gunner family are all diminished by his passing. Good shooting, End of Mission old Gunner, Stand Easy!

We knew Duff for only a short time, he never failed to say hello and was always a true gentleman. He is to be admired for his positive outlook on life and his service to his country.

We will remember Duff as an honourable gentleman who had a kind and generous heart. His life seemed to exemplify fitness and a love for his family and the outdoors. Our personal memory will be his commitment to his church and faith and trying to keep up with him while nordic skiing. Thank you Duff for being a part of our lives. Heartfelt condolenses and prayers to Phyllis and Duff's family.

Duff was a very active member of the Sir Guy Carleton Branch of the UELAC. He was proud of his descent from 3 proven Loyalists and expressed this in his book about his ancestors. He also wrote many articles on the Loyalist Rose and spoke at the dedication ceremony at the Experimental farm when we donated one of the roses there. He attended almost all of the functions of our branch until recently and we shall miss him.
