I was saddened to hear of George's passing. My condolences to his family. We spent twelve years together in school. He was a good athlete and one of the funniest people I ever knew. I know he had recent health issues but he seemed too young to leave us. Rest in peace George.

We all remember George as one who could find the humor and good time in any circumstance. But he was much more than that, George was given more than his share of life's challenges and he always rose to meet them. I lost touch with George after graduation from high school but am most fortunate to have reconnected with him at the GCHS 65 guys annual dinners.

George was such a good friend to Stan and me. His quick wit and personality made anyone in his company feel uplifted. What joy and happiness he brought to the people who knew him. I pray that his friends welcomed him to heaven and that our loving God will grant him eternal rest and peace.

George had many titles, and many will sorely miss him; but, all will truly miss his personality which was second to none.

George was the very first “Operator” that I met in the first months of my 33 1/2 years in the refinery. As luck would have it, we ended up working together for quite a few years. During that time, George always got the job done but, made it kinda fun at times. And the times together outside of work were absolutely hilarious.
Our condolences to his family and friends. I’m saddened of the news but, it brings back all those fond memories.
