To know him was to love him. Gidge - a wonderfully kind man with great humor and an enthusiasm for life that never failed. My memories of George recall his love for family, his boundless optimism and his broad enjoyment of simple pleasures. In my case, he was an oft-needed father figure but I know he represented something special and unique to everyone he touched, and he touched many. I'm so glad to have known him. My deepest and most heartfelt condolences go out to his beloved Helen, and to Judy and Steve, who I know meant the world to him.

I'll miss George a lot. He always made us feel like family. This meant even more ... especially during the holidays. He was in some ways, my dad too. When I totaled my car as a kid he saw the big contusion on my head, and he said: "..so i can see you didn't get hurt". I'll always remember the laughter, and his uncanny way of finding the good in things. He was a great guy, and although he gone, his spirit will live on always. RIP Geo.
